Characteristics: Ruby red with red fruit aroma reminiscent of cherries and plums. Rounded flavour with well blended tanins
 
Production area: The hills of paternopoli – a town situated within the taurasi d.o.c.g.region
 
Vine exposition and altitude:South/south east 350/500 metres above sea level
 
Soil type: Clay/lime (calcareous) on compact sand
 
Vine cultivation system: Espalier and avellinese rays
 
Alcoholic content: 12/12.5° vol
 
Harvest: Hand picked end of october/beginning of november
 
Vinification process: Selection of grapes in vineyard and then in cellar. Maceration and fermentation at controlled temperature with the aid of micro oxygenisation with a minimum of 3 months maturing in bottles.
 
Graper variety used: 100% aglianico
 
Accompanies: Suggested to accompany roasts and game but can be appreciated with any meal
